The videogame development company scooped silver in ‘Best Use of Digital Technologies’ at the 2022 UK Employee Experience Awards.

The results Sumo Digital has achieved using THRIVE’s Learning & Skills Platform were recognised once more at this year’s UK Employee Experience Awards following a collaborative submission with THRIVE’s Data Lab.

The videogame development company added silver in ‘Best Use of Digital Technologies’ to the Learning Excellence Award it won in April.

A multi-award-winning journey

Sumo used Dojo, its THRIVE platform, to embed a culture of innovation, continuous learning and collaborative knowledge sharing, transforming its learning and comms culture for 1,200 employees across 15 studios around the world.

Since launching THRIVE at the beginning of 2020, Sumo has achieved impressive engagement and results across the group, including 95% engagement and 89% user-generated content, with Dojo becoming much more than a learning platform in the process.

This year, it was named the 12th Best Large Company to Work For in the UK based on employees’ feedback, and the platform has been used to connect people through group-wide initiatives, including a ‘One Button Game Jam’ which raised £4,000 for SpecialEffect - a charity specialising in helping physically disabled people play videogames.

The Best Use of Digital Technologies category celebrated the organisations creating a world-class employee experience via digital means, and featured the likes of Bupa, Adobe, Coca-Cola, Care UK and Claims Consortium Group.
