Simon Grundy has joined the management team at The Test Factory as Sales Director. Simon was at Pearson UK for nearly 8 years where he was Head of Technology Sales.

‘I loved my time at Pearson and am passionate about Learning Technologies. I have seen first-hand the integral role effective assessment plays in the learning and development process. It glues together learning solutions; identifying learning needs, signposting resources & training and measuring learning success.

When The Test Factory approached me, I was very impressed by the success they had achieved – both in terms of the clients they work with globally and the technology solutions they provide. As I spent time with the staff at The Test Factory, the opportunity to join such a great team and play a part in the future success of the business became compelling. The passion, energy and excitement I witnessed made the opportunity one I couldn’t resist.’

Joining Simon at The Test Factory are five further recruits. Paul Fleming, Phillip Smith and Lawrence Davey all join the development team where they will be responsible for the continued enhancement and support of the assessment platform, exciting new features planned in the roadmap and working on customised assessment solutions for clients such as Microsoft, HSBC and Cambridge University Press.

Paul, formerly with 4Projects providing software to the construction industry, was fortunate enough to have a number of job offers and explained why he chose The Test Factory.

‘As a developer, it is really important to stay at the front of the curve. The Test Factory works with the latest technologies and pioneers innovation. This, with the career opportunities offered, were the deciding factors for me personally.’

Also joining the technical team is Jessica Wells, joining as a Project Manager. Jessica moved from the US two years ago and will be joining the UK office working on global projects from both The Test Factory’s UK and US offices.

The continued growth of clients has resulted in Amy Souter joining the Client Services department where she will assist the team in building assessments, providing expert advice and managing assessment campaigns for clients.

Managing Director Kevin Beales said ‘We are really excited to have recruited a number of experienced and talented individuals to The Test Factory. It is a really exciting time for us right now, as we continue to grow globally and the need for and benefits from assessments to support learning & development, recruitment and compliance grows.
