Workshop 1: Demonstrating the value of employee-led learning
Speaker: Martin Couzins
Most learning takes place on the job, but how do you demonstrate its impact? In this workshop, Martin Couzins explores how organisations can make the value of employee-led learning visible, credible and meaningful to the business. Using AI as a real-world example of learning happening outside of L&D-run programmes, participants will explore a simple but powerful framework for identifying everyday learning signals, generating actionable insights and demonstrating value and impact.

Dr Nicola Thomas helps organisations design learning that drives real-world change—then prove it. Nicola is the founder of Discostat, they are developing an AI-powered learning analytics to help organisations prove and improve their learning impact. With a career spanning EdTech, academia, AI integration, and customer insight, she has built a unique toolkit for transforming workplace learning into a strategic advantage.
Workshop 3: Metric Chains
Speaker: Tom McDowall
This workshop centres around the idea of metric chains. Through an interactive case study, you’ll not only gather data but also use it to prove connections between metrics, ultimately enabling you to demonstrate a correlative link between your training activity and the board’s priorities.
Attendees will be among the very first people to try out a new tool is developing to offload the number crunching when developing metric chains.
