eLearning Network Looks for New Chairman

Learning NewsThe Learning Network

The eLearning Network (eLN), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has announced it is recruiting a new chairman.

Phil Green, who has occupied the post for the past two years, is stepping down having overseen a rise in membership numbers, increased delegate satisfaction levels and has been widely acknowledged to have made an outstanding contribution to the increasing success of The eLearning Awards.

Phil Green said:

"I joined the eLN committee in 1998, so I'm close to chalking up ten years of service. In that time I've seen the Network grow its influence from early days as TACT (The Association for Computer-Based Training) to pre-eminence today as the UK's leading organisation for everyone with an interest in technology enhanced learning. My work online on behalf of the CIPD and my Optimum Learning consultancy have all grown rapidly in the past 12 months. These, together with an exciting new joint venture, will be the focus of my future activity."
The committee of the eLN is made up of learning professionals who "give back" pro bono some benefit to the Industry in which they make their living. Some committee members belong to organisations which use eLearning; some are suppliers and consultants.

Green continued:

“There is a wonderful symmetry in my passing on the baton in the eLN’s 20th year; after joining the organisation in its 10th Anniversary. “

“I've had the privilege of occupying the role of chairman, working with some excellent colleagues on the committee and making many friends. The eLN is a very strong organisation, made up of a dedicated committee and a network of keen and active members. A new leader with fresh and inspirational ideas is bound to move the eLN to even greater levels of performance, service and influence."
The committee of the eLearning Network is currently considering applications for the roles of chairman and administrator, and any interested parties are invited to contact the eLN at [email protected]
