Ken Blanchard Named World’s 3rd Most Influential Leadership Guru
Ken Blanchard, the business and management author and entrepreneur perhaps best known as the co-author of The One Minute Manager, has been rated as the world’s 3rd most influential leadership guru by an independent public opinion poll of 22,000 business people, consultants, academics and MBAs worldwide, who were asked to make nominations for the award.
Ken Blanchard’s level of leadership inspiration was labelled ‘exceptional,’ on the grounds he not only applied his personal leadership principals to achieve superior results in his own company – management training consultancy The Ken Blanchard Companies – but also helped develop and influence other leaders across the globe. Judging criteria included originality of ideas, practicality of ideas, presentation style, international outlook, impact of ideas, quality of publications and writings, dispersion of publications and writings, public opinion, and ‘the guru factor.’
The poll excluded political, military and business leaders, focusing instead on those who develop and instil leadership in others. All Top 30 Gurus received more than 1000 votes each.
Ken Blanchard was 3rd behind John Maxwell and Stephen Covey.
