Harnessing the power of 70:20:10

LondonLearning NewsCorporate eLearning Consortium

Charles Jennings will be talking about putting 70:20:10 into practice, at two seminars at Learning Technologies next week and will be leading a webinar in February on applying 70:20:10 principles.

In two seminars at Learning Technologies, Charles Jennings and Martin Baker will explain how to successfully support managers, by providing self-directed learning resources. They'll explain how you can harness the potential power of informal and social learning, using the increasingly popular 70:20:10 approach.

As Charles explains: “Smart organisations realise that most learning happens as part of the daily workflow. They know that this means they need to extend their support of learning beyond courses. They need to adopt resource-based learning if they’re to enable their people to learn at speed and with the agility that the modern world demands.”

Together Charles and Martin will demonstrate how the Toolkit for Managers fits into the 70:20:10 model of learning - those joining the seminars will see a short demonstration of the Toolkit and discover:

  • Exactly what 70:20:10 means.
  • How the Toolkit for Managers can save busy managers valuable time and money - by putting relevant resources at their fingertips, right at the point of need.
  • Interesting facts - not theory - about how managers use this online resource, and why the mobile to desktop delivery is so successful.
  • How managers needs have uniquely been put at the very heart of the Toolkit.

These free seminars take place at:

2.15pm-2.45pm, 28 January, Theatre 10, Learning & Skills

2pm-2.30pm, 29 January, Theatre One, Learning Technologies

For anyone that can’t make the Learning Technologies show at Olympia, London, Charles is also leading a knowledge sharing webinar for the Corporate eLearning Consortium, at 11am on Thursday 19th February. Registration for the webinar is online at the Go to Webinar booking page.
