Speexx Explores AI's Impact on Transforming Corporate Language Learning at Learning Technologies 2020
Leading language learning platform Speexx to exhibit and present at Learning Technologies UK
MUNICH (Monday, 3 February, 2020) - Speexx, the first intelligent language learning platform for the digital workplace, will once again be exhibiting and presenting at Learning Technologies UK. Having closed out 2019 on a high note - exclusive partnerships formed, awards collected and even a new podcast launched - Speexx looks forward to sharing workplace and learning-related best practices collected over the course of last year, while simultaneously gaining knowledge from other companies also in attendance.
One area in particular that Speexx focused on last year and will be delivering insights on at the show this year is artificial intelligence. Indeed, in 2019, the company made more strides in how AI is used at Speexx, even developing proprietary speech recognition software to be able to help users improve their pronunication when using a new language.
"Tech is in our DNA," said Armin Hopp, founder and President at Speexx. "Over last few years, we've completely rebuilt our tech entire tech ecosystem from scratch. It has been a huge effort but now we have a great foundation that really uses AI to benefit users and our customers."
Speexx' Andreas Urban, Director of Global Services, will be speaking at Learning Technologies on this very topic, and offering tips on how to merge tech and talent. The title of his session, taking place on Wednesday, February 12 at 1:15 p.m. (Theatre 1), is "How AI is Transforming Corporate Language Learning." Indeed, "learning transformation" has been a topic du jour for Speexx as of late, and was the theme of the company's annual Speexx Exchange conference last fall.
"Incorporating AI in HR and L&D shouldn't be a quick, overnight change," said Armin Hopp. "Instead, it should be baked into a company's larger transformation goals."
In addition to speech recognition software, Speexx uses AI to provide personalized learning and spaced repeition for vocabulary training, as well as for writing and listening skills. The company also predicts user behavior using AI: Based on anonymized data from more than eight million professional users, Speexx can determine if someone might be lagging in their training and take customized action to prevent him or her from dropping out.
Speexx can be found at the show at Hall N1-N6, Stand F50. The demo will be presented by Speexx' Ali El Sheikh, Global Partners & Strategic Alliances Manager. The title of his talk is "Speexx Digital Language Training & Testing for a Global Workforce" and will take place on Thursday, February 13 at 3:15 p.m. (Demone Zone 1).
