Creating a performance-focused platform using crowd-sourced content is the focus of Saffron Interactive’s seminar at Learning Technologies on 29 January. The Digital Prevention Platform, created in partnership with AVA, went viral to transform approaches towards safeguarding at a national level and won a European MEDEA Award.

Visitors to Stand 36 will also have the chance to speak to the experts, pick up a case study and explore the platform.

Jo Sharpen, children and young person’s co-ordinator at AVA, says: “The Digital Prevention Platform is the culmination of years of research and collaboration with projects around the UK and provides a unique resource which fills a much needed gap. The success this platform has enjoyed shows its possible to utilise technology to increase knowledge and confidence around sensitive issues and that ending violence against women and girls is a global priority.”

“This seminar will explore how AVA and Saffron collaborated with a focus on experiential learning and performance tools to deliver this award-winning solution,” says Toby Harris, creative lead at Saffron. “The techniques we’ve used for effective knowledge management here have the potential to unlock insights for you too, so come along to find out how.”

The platform includes approved multimedia resources on safeguarding which have been ‘crowd-sourced’ from national experts.  The project is a finalist in two categories for the 2015 Learning Awards.

“Despite the unique nature of this project, the knowledge management crisis is one that pervades many sectors and organisations,” says Noorie Sazen, Saffron’s CEO. “Our research into knowledge management revealed that 85% of employees turn to Google to find insights at work. This seminar will explore how we approached this change campaign and the successes it’s enjoyed. We’ll also be discussing how we can replicate the power of viral knowledge management to effect real change in your organisation.”
