Reed Learning, one of the UK's largest providers of corporate training & development, is launching two new fully accredited qualification programmes for PAs, office managers and administrators. The qualifications have been over a year in development and are now approved on the nationally recognised Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF) at Levels 3 and 4, and accredited by the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM).

Reed Learning conducted research with over 1,200 PAs, which revealed that the role of the administration professional has evolved to include wider responsibilities such as recruitment, training, budgeting, events, marketing and facilities management.

In response to these demands, the qualifications provide units in specialist skills including project management, finance, HR and event management. To recognise the aspirations of PAs and administration professionals, Reed Learning and the IAM have created a Level 4 qualification which offers progression and a chance to step up their skills with topics such as people management and commercial awareness.

Jenny Hewell, Chief Executive of the IPA and IAM says, "These qualifications are exclusive to Reed Learning and will offer a direct route to membership with the IAM and IPA. Our membership has been designed to meet the growing needs of 21st century administrators and PAs and provide all the support and skills they need to advance their careers".

Emma Hicks, Strategic Partnerships Manager from Reed Learning says, "Our research with over 1,200 PAs and office managers showed that 86% felt training was more effective when it formed part of an accredited qualification, 74% felt qualifications were a vital part of becoming a successful PA and 94% felt membership of a professional institute added value to their role. We're delighted to be launching these new qualifications and have already seen great interest from the PA community."
