Apprenticeship offering helps businesses foster growth and harness fresh talent

Raytheon Professional Services LLC (RPS), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), is the first provider in the U.K. to launch a recognised Business and Administration Apprenticeship programme delivered in a virtual classroom environment with a collaborative learning approach.
Students earn a Business Technology and Education Council (BTEC) Apprenticeship Certification in Business & Administration upon completion. The apprenticeship provides participants with an alternative to an academic education in a working environment where they can jump-start their careers with a fun, hands-on, quality programme. Employers benefit from a recognised education programme that enables apprentices to quickly operate efficiently and effectively in the workplace.

“The virtual classroom training delivery makes our apprenticeship programme fully work-based, integrating learning into the day-to-day activities of the apprentice’s
job,” said Paul Swinscoe, RPS business development director. “Instead of losing hours to off-site study, managers and apprentices can actively participate in the training process whilst the apprentices gain valuable skills to apply to their work situations,” Swinscoe said.
