QA Appoints New Director of Cyber Security

QA, the leading provider of Technical IT training, today announces the appointment of Greg Newton-Ingham to the position of Director of Cyber Security as part of an ongoing commitment to the provision of excellent cyber security training at QA.

QA, the leading provider of Technical IT training, today announces the appointment of Greg Newton-Ingham to the position of Director of Cyber Security as part of an ongoing commitment to the provision of excellent cyber security training at QA.

The appointment sees Newton-Ingham assume responsibility for the ongoing development of QA's cyber security curriculum. He will work alongside QA's team of 84 full-time technical trainers to develop new cyber security courses which are in line with key industry trends, and which meet the increasing demands of IT professionals.

"The cyber skills gap is a growing concern for both the UK government and UK businesses alike, and we are seeing an increased demand for cyber security training" remarks Jeff Barnes, Executive Director of Training at QA. "Greg's appointment comes as we are making strong strides towards our goal of becoming the number one training provider for cyber security training. I am confident that under Greg's direction, we will expand our cyber security offering, giving businesses access to the skills training needed to plug the cyber skills gap."

Newton-Ingham brings a wealth of understanding to the role, with 30 years hands-on experience working within offensive and defensive IT security. Previous roles at the University of East Anglia and as a Visiting Fellow at the School of Computing Sciences mean that Newton-Ingham brings a real understanding of what cyber security skills IT professionals require.
