QA leads the market with new training workshops and toolkits to help organisations understand and comply with the Equality Act 2010.

In October 2010, the Equality Act 2010 will become law. The Act is the largest overhaul of UK anti-discrimination law for around 35 years and affects UK organisations of all sizes.

The UK’s top training company, QA, is leading the market with the introduction of Equality Act 2010 training workshops and toolkits, designed to help organisations understand this important new law and properly accommodate it within their businesses.

The Equality Act 2010 is one of the most important pieces of business legislation, affecting everything from how an organisation recruits people to how it buys and sells products and services.

QA’s workshops and toolkits prepare organisations to meet the requirements of the law. They are designed to make the Act easy to understand and provide a structured approach to reviewing current organisational policies, where these exist, and becoming fully compliant.

QA’s workshops and toolkits include:

The Equality Act – What You Need to Know
Equality and Procurement
Managing Disability and Mental Health
Diversity Strategies and Organisational Performance

The majority of the Act comes into force in October 2010, so organisations will need to move fairly quickly. (As with similar laws, other parts of the Act are to be phased in during 2011-2013.) For help or more information, organisations should contact QA.
