QA launches new TOGAF™ training courses

QA, the UK’s leading training company, has added The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF™) courses to its fast-growing enterprise architecture portfolio.

The TOGAF™ training courses slot into QA’s portfolio alongside other enterprise architecture training programmes, including ISEB Enterprise and Solution Architecture Certificates.

The ISEB and TOGAF™ courses lead to industry recognised professional certifications – QA is currently the only organisation accredited to provide both.

According to QA’s commercial director, Bill Walker, the new TOGAF™ courses complement the current ISEB curriculum to offer a complete architecture portfolio. “The two certifications work extremely well together,” says Walker, “TOGAF™ courses are particularly useful for people governing processes and organising architectural activity in complex enterprises. The ISEB courses provide any practising architect with a sound foundation in the essential terms and concepts of enterprise and solution architecture.”

QA has seen a steady increase in the take-up of enterprise architecture training. “Adoption of TOGAF™ is driven by the desire for all aspects of an organisation’s IS/IT systems to be designed and evolved in a forward-looking way,” says Walker.

QA has launched two TOGAF™ courses: TOGAFTOGAF™ Foundation and Intermediate (Level 1 and 2) and TOGAF™ 8 to TOGAF™ 9 Bridge.

Originally developed in the mid 1990s and continually refined and improved since, the current version (TOGAF™ 9) is a mature, respected framework for enterprise architecture.

“QA continues to support our customers’ drive to adopting best practice frameworks,” concludes Walker. “TOGAF™ also shows how architecture sits alongside Programme, Project and Service Management.”

The TOGAF™ courses are available now.
