QA-IQ appoints new CEO to lead future growth: William Macpherson joins UK's leading learning company

The UK's leading learning company, QA-IQ, has broadened its management team by appointing a new Chief Executive to lead the company and develop future opportunities for growth. William Macpherson joined QA-IQ on 9 June 2008.

John Kauffman, previously Managing Director of QA-IQ will remain on the Board of QA-IQ Group as a Non-Executive Director, and will continue to be an investor and shareholder in the business.

William Macpherson was until recently the Chief Executive of Kaplan Professional and International, a major learning services organisation with sales in excess of $500 million. He began leading training companies in 1995 when he became Chief Executive of Financial Training, which he built into one of the UK's largest accountancy training businesses.

William Macpherson comments; "QA-IQ has grown to become the market leader with revenues some three times greater than its nearest competitor, and a far broader and deeper learning offer than any other market participant. I'm joining QA-IQ at an exciting time, as we are currently seeing strong performance and developing many new initiatives for growth."

John Kauffman comments "QA-IQ's development over the past 8 years has been outstanding and I have been honoured to lead a most talented group of individuals. I look forward to continuing my involvement as we enter the next phase of growth."
