QA-IQ instructor finalist for BCS award - IT Trainer of the Year nomination for David Singh
QA-IQ instructor, David Singh, has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious BCS IT Industry Awards 2007 - Individual Excellence Section.
Nominated for his exceptional skills as a trainer, David's entry was based on his achievements in the last twelve months. A specialist in Microsoft Dynamics technology, David has delivered a number of highly successful bespoke learning programmes for QA-IQ's customers.
As a Principal Technologist at QA-IQ, David believes it is an important part of his role to promote excellence in both technical skills and to his fellow instructors; "I'm delighted to be a finalist for this award as I think it will be an opportunity to explore further the skills that provide a strong learning experience for our customers. I think it's essential that today's instructors have a thorough understanding of not only the technical skills required, but also the business environment in which they are practiced."
Head of QA-IQ's technical instructor community, Jeff Barnes, adds; "David has managed to combine his industry experiences and his software skills with his talents as an effective presenter to deliver exceptional learning programmes to audiences of mixed abilities who are facing demanding challenges in the workplace. His comfortable and informative style in the classroom allows him to effectively transfer business critical skills to his delegates to a consistently high quality. As training evolves to meet the technology needs of customers, David is a prototype for the IT trainer of the future."
A second stage of judging is currently taking place. The winner and two medallists for this category will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel London on the evening of 6 December 2007.
