Growth in IT training and managed training services has led to an investment of £500,000 in a refit of Xpertise's training centre in Leeds, Yorkshire - doubling capacity in order to cope with local demand.

The training centre, which is less than five minutes from the main railway station in Leeds, has just reopened after an extensive expansion programme. The centre has state-of-the-art facilities and boasts free car parking. According to Xpertise's managing director, Ian Johnson, enlarging the centre was essential to cope with the company's success in Yorkshire. "Our commitment to IT, soft skills and professional skills training continues to fuel our growth. We've already had to expand other centres - such as London - adding in more classrooms to handle the demand. We're now extremely pleased to open the doors on our substantially improved Leeds training centre - which can deliver 1500 additional training courses a year."

Xpertise is the only company in the North of England which is authorised to deliver official Oracle and Red Hat training through its Leeds training centre. Xpertise is also one of the UK's leading providers of Microsoft technical training. "Our strategy has always been to be the best provider of accredited training, such as Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, Oracle and Red Hat - and also training which is based on established standards, such as PRINCE2 and ITIL", says Johnson.

Demand for IT skills in Yorkshire continues to increase and Xpertise provides training courses that ensure the availability of appropriately skilled, local IT personnel. "Our reputation for quality IT training in Leeds and Yorkshire, plus the ability to deliver authorised courses which others can't, is really what's behind our success," said Johnson.

As part of the expansion, Xpertise has also doubled the size of its managed services team at the Leeds office, to handle additional major training contracts which Xpertise has won in 2007. Xpertise has become a major force in managed training services, working with some of the UK's leading organisations to deliver a fully outsourced training service.

To celebrate the reopening of the centre, Xpertise is inviting local customers to a special customer day, on 8 June, where they can experience the quality of the upgraded centre, learn about ITIL v3 and the latest technology trends, and also have the opportunity to win copies of Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise.
