At a series of fourteen seminars across the UK, Xpertise helped Microsoft to unveil the latest releases of SQL Server and Visual Studio to a massive audience.

Xpertise again displayed its leadership position in the Microsoft developer market when it helped Microsoft to launch SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005. Xpertise ran fourteen 'rock the launch' events at all six of its training centres across the UK - to hundreds of people.

"The events were a huge success," says Xpertise's commercial director, Bill Walker. "The attendance was among the best we've ever had for this type of event - people were really keen to see these new products first hand."

Although Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio are new products, Xpertise built up a wealth of experience prior to their launch, delivering training to Microsoft's partner network across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Says Walker: "We were chosen by Microsoft to train its own partner network - an opportunity which we embraced."

Walker believes that Xpertise has taken the lead in SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 training. "The early experience gained delivering training to Microsoft's partners put us in prime position when the products arrived. And, as is often the case, Xpertise was the first training company in the UK to offer training courses on these products."

Microsoft has already recognised Xpertise's excellence in Microsoft training, by selecting Xpertise as its Microsoft's Certified Learning Solution Partner of the Year for EMEA, for the second time. This prestigious award identifies Xpertise as Microsoft's top learning partner right across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Xpertise has also been short listed for the 'training company of the year' award, by the Institute of IT Training and one of its trainers, Bob Simms, was short listed as 'trainer of the year'. Coincidently, Bob was one of the trainers responsible for training Microsoft's partner network across Europe and the Middle East.

Says Walker: "We're highly committed to success in the Microsoft arena - and our success continues year-on-year. This year we were recognised as one of the fastest-growing providers of Microsoft technical training - with an outstanding 65% growth in the use of Microsoft official training materials. Not bad for a training company that's also one of the longest-established in the UK."

Xpertise reports that demand for SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 training is very strong: "We're already forward-booking these courses well into 2006," says Walker.
