QA Launches Three-Year Managed Training Service for Norwich Union
Norwich Union Central Services, part of the UK’s largest insurance group, has selected QA, the UK’s Training Company of the Year 2005, to manage the delivery of all technical training to Norwich Union’s employees throughout the UK.
QA will manage training administration and delivery, including course booking, third-party training and training evaluation for up to 2000 IT professionals at Norwich Union Life and Norwich Union Central Services. A substantial saving in training spend is anticipated as a result of the consolidated management of training delivery.
“What differentiates QA is its track record for the delivery of large managed training services,” commented Diane Rodgerson, Organisational Development & Learning Manager, at Norwich Union Central Services. “QA has demonstrated an understanding of Norwich Union’s specific business culture and designed a service that will deliver maximum management value.”
An integrated online booking system will provide Norwich Union staff with real-time course information and a booking facility to ensure fast and cost-effective processes. A QA administration team will manage the training booking and reporting processes.
Norwich Union Central Services will realise significant cost-savings and benefits through the consolidation of training suppliers, the streamlining of internal processes and a reduction in administration costs. Employees will benefit from award-winning training from QA and a training strategy that is structured to meet business and personal development needs. “Norwich Union Life is now actively looking to emulate NUCS by extending our relationship with QA to embrace the full benefits of the Managed Training Service,” said Gary Cannon, Business Learning Manager for Norwich Union Life.
"This partnership is about achieving the best training and enhancing the management of Norwich Union’s training operation,” commented Brian Sutton, Director of Learning at QA. “Managed Training Services are our core business and we look forward to delivering a programme that will maximise our client’s learning investment and bring significant business value."
