London, UKLearning NewsQA

Gain two Personal Development Units from the PMI for attending! QA, Training Company of the Year 2005, is hosting a free breakfast seminar to help managers drive project success, while ensuring they make the most of the resources and expertise available in their project teams.

Taking place in at the Institute of Electrical Engineers in London on 28 September 2005, the seminar will advise project management leaders on methods for increasing the knowledge and skills of their teams, while improving the maturity of the project management process. Including a detailed case study showing how these techniques have been used in business, the sessions address the measurement of project success and the impact of team behaviour on project delivery. Also presenting at the event, Verax, which researches and develops diagnostics tools, will discuss new research findings about project management.

Keynote speaker at the event, and Director of Learning at QA, Brian Sutton, explains: "Ensuring the successful completion of complex projects is one of the key challenges for today's businesses. Yet, without a clear understanding of the criteria for success, and the skills available within the organisation to drive that achievement, many projects are destined to fail.

"This event will help guide project and programme managers and directors on the techniques and tactics to employ to avoid project failure. Providing practical guidance on how best to optimise project teams, and managing your team's development, the seminar will draw upon examples of industry best practice to boost successful project delivery."

Starting at 9am on Wednesday 28 September, the event's three speakers are Brian Sutton, Director of Learning, QA; Keith Bedingham, Chairman, Verax International; and Russell Berkeley, Manager, BMT Sigma. There will be an opportunity for questions to the speakers following their presentations, and the event will finish at 12.30pm.

Attendees looking to maintain their certification will be entitled to claim two Personal Development Units from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for attending the event, and certificates of attendance will be available on the day to claim these units. Places are strictly limited, so to apply for your free place at the seminar, visit QA's web site, or call Emma on 020 7656 8459, or email [email protected].
