E-Learning Awards judges announced that Praxis42, health, safety and environment consultants and eLearning compliance specialists have been selected as a finalist in the 'Best use of e-learning to ensure compliance with external regulations or internal policies' category.

The awards are the most respected in the eLearning sector and received over 400 entries, the highest number ever, which makes being shortlisted in this category even more impressive.

Delivering site safety induction training to over 600 production team members, in a Jungle, is very challenging. To make it even more difficult, individuals are recruited from all over the world and compliance has to therefore match numerous legal requirements. They arrive on site in waves over a 3 month period and the previous process meant the team couldn't start work until they receive an induction from a member of the health and safety team.

'This is a brilliant example of how working in partnership with customers can bring some obvious compliance, efficiency and risk management results in a rather unique environment and organisational structure' Keith Paxman Managing Director at Praxis42 commented.

The course content used all the media which was available to our development partners Realsense and which had a focus on gamification to ensure that there was the right level of engagement for those important parts of the course like dealing with the creepy crawlies! Feedback on the training was overwhelmingly positive and one of the Australian crew members said ‘Best induction I’ve come across. Other inductions I’ve done make you want to gouge your eyes out’.

The project delivered increased compliance, improved operational efficiency, cost savings and the platform to develop the right safety culture in the production team.
