NetDimensions and LRMG will address the challenges of mobile learning and performance support in Africa at eLearning Africa 2011 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

NetDimensions (London Stock Exchange AIM: NETD), a global provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems; and LRMG, a Performance Agency that creates memorable “Xperiences” in Management Consulting, Learning, Talent and People technology, will address the challenges of mobile learning and performance support in Africa at eLearning Africa 2011 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

“NetDimensions has truly redefined mobile workforce training with mEKP, the portable version of our award-winning flagship product, the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) learning and performance management system," said Steve Curtis, Channel Director for EMEA at NetDimensions (UK) Limited.

“We believe mEKP is poised to receive tremendous market acceptance in Africa and we are excited to showcase this revolutionary product and its benefits for organizations at eLearning Africa this year.”

eLearning Africa is the largest pan-African conference about Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for Development, Education and Training, and this year it will take place from May 25 to 27 at the Mlimani City Conference Center in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Irwin van Stavel, Managing Executive at LRMG commented “LRMG are committed to developing Learning using technology throughout the African continent.”

He went on to say “We are delighted to, together with our partners NetDimensions, have the opportunity to interact with potential customers who visit our stand at the exhibition. We are confident that we can provide eLearning solutions that address the challenges faced by organizations in Africa.”

eLearning Challenges and Solutions in Africa

According to ITU, Internet user penetration in Africa in 2010 was below 10%. This means that learning solution providers cannot take connectivity for granted. NetDimensions mEKP is a full-featured LMS that runs on inexpensive USB flash drives and requires no installation or Internet connectivity.

mEKP is already deployed by various organizations worldwide, and it was recently named a finalist for the prestigious 2011 CODiE awards. Established by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), these Awards are the industry’s only peer-reviewed awards program aiming to recognize excellence and achievement in the business software, digital content, and education technology industries.

At eLearning Africa, Curtis will be delivering a presentation entitled “Challenges affecting eLearning in Africa” where he will discuss effective solutions to these challenges. The presentation will take place on Friday, May 27 at 4:30pm, in the Masai Room.

Moira de Roche, Executive Consultant at LRMG Performance Agency, has many years experience in helping clients to implement blended learning. She will deliver a presentation, examining the question “Is Social Learning the icing on the Blended Learning cake?” This presentation will take place Friday, May 27, at 2:30pm, in the Mount Kilimanjaro venue.

LRMG will be showcasing the innovative NetDimensions learning management products and solutions (including the award-winning mEKP) as well as SkillSoft products at Stand 012 during the conference. Both the LRMG and NetDimensions teams look forward to welcoming visitors to discuss their learning needs.
