NetDimensions (London Stock Exchange AIM: NETD), a global provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems, announces that Delphi Automotive LLP has successfully implemented the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) LMS to deliver technical training and knowledge to its global network of workshops and garages, as well as to assess their quality and technical competence.

Delphi provides its workshops and garages with the right diagnostic software, tools, training and information, enabling them to carry out satisfactory repair services on modern diesel vehicles.

Graham Borley, Global Training Manager at Delphi Diesel Aftermarket said, “A growing number of independent garages are finding it increasingly difficult to remain in business without a relationship with an original equipment manufacturer like Delphi. This is because the new technologies incorporated in modern vehicles make it critical that you have access to the latest training and technical information.”

EKP enables Delphi to effectively provide end-to-end support to its extended enterprise model of workshops and mechanics to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and manage associated risks.

Efficiently Managing and Supporting a Global Network

Delphi established the Delphi Service Center Program to equip independent garages with the requisite knowledge necessary to operate successfully.

“We initially wanted a learning management system just for training the independent garages under our DSC program. With EKP, we got that and much more,” explained Borley.

“We now have EKP as a franchise administration system as well, which simultaneously helps us reduce costs, upgrade our franchisees, lighten the administrative burden on our regional Technical Partners, protect our proprietary information better, and even manage our franchise standards more effectively.”

Liam Butler, EMEA General Manager of NetDimensions (UK) Limited added: “Through EKP’s security features, Delphi is able to protect sensitive proprietary training and technical reference materials from unauthorized distribution.

“EKP’s payment gateway integration also facilitates the collection of receivables online, making it more convenient for Delphi, its franchisees, and clients to settle accounts.”

Achieving Success Across the Extended Enterprise

Increased globalization and competition have stimulated the rapid growth of extended enterprise business models -- supplier, partner and distributor networks, as well as client support channels -- driving the need for effective extended enterprise management systems.

On March 8th, NetDimensions will host a webinar together with Borley that will give attendees an inside look into Delphi’s extended enterprise success story.
