Which testing format best suits your programme? How do you protect against test fraud? What is the future of certification? All big questions which Pearson VUE will answer when it addresses industry professionals and experts at this year's European Association of Test Publishers (E-ATP) Conference.

Certification and awarding bodies are increasingly looking to computer-based testing (CBT) to understand and utilise the latest assessment innovations. Test sponsors already using CBT, as well as those yet to transition from paper and pencil testing, will learn how to enhance the delivery, reach and promotion of their exams at the industry's fourth annual European event. Held in Berlin, Germany, from 12 to 14 September 2012, this year's event will also enable attendees to share practices and form new business relationships.

Pearson VUE delivery of exams increased rapidly in recent years, with the company delivering 7.5m in 2010 and 10m in 2011.

With its experts and partners set to cover an array of topics, the CBT business of Pearson - which is a gold sponsor of the event - is set to take centre stage. Alternatives to multiple-choice questions, use of computer-adaptive testing and trends in assessment innovations are just some of the highlights on the agenda.

The diverse range of attendees expected at the conference include representatives of Ministries of Education, test publishers, awarding bodies, curriculum authorities, policymakers and organisations responsible for testing candidates' skills, competencies and knowledge.

Rona Fairhead, Chief Executive, FT Group, is the closing keynote speaker for the event and will consider how educators can solve a 'Professions Paradox' in Europe. With unemployment at record highs across Europe whilst the demand for high level skills grows, Rona offers insight into how educators and employers can develop strategies to help bridge the talent gap.

Matthew Poyiadgi, Managing Director EMEA, Pearson VUE, said:
"The assessment industry continues to change at a rapid pace, with more and more organisations making use of CBT. This is why the E-ATP Conference is so important. Since its formation, the Conference has formed a central hub for the sharing of experiences, best practices and innovations. It remains a key date not only for assessment professionals in Europe but around the world."
