The European Federation of Schools selects Pearson VUE to deliver assessment via computer-based testing
Pearson VUE, the leader in computer-based testing, has been selected by the European Federation of Schools (FEDE) to deliver its newly formed European Business and Administration Test (EUBAT).
Headquartered in Switzerland, FEDE is a European
non-governmental organisation which is dedicated to the promotion
and application of fundamental educational rights.
The EUBAT is designed to assess candidates' understanding of the
culture, history, values, traditions and elements of Europe which
may influence social behaviour. The test also measures candidates'
knowledge of how business and commerce is structured and conducted
throughout the continent. Those who sit the exam will not simply
pass or fail but will see their performance used to ascertain their
level of knowledge and understanding.
The EUBAT is scheduled to be a three-hour exam delivered in French
and English via Pearson VUE's extensive global network of test
centres. This will provide FEDE with a large testing footprint
while its candidates benefit from accessible assessment.
The exclusive six-year agreement will see Pearson VUE begin test
delivery in September 2011.
Edouard Jagodnik, President, FEDE, said:
"We chose Pearson VUE to deliver the EUBAT based on its
responsiveness and ability to provide high-stakes exams in a
professional and secure environment. We were also impressed by
Pearson VUE's record of delivering prestigious global assessment
and are confident that our partnership will help the EUBAT to
become an internationally recognised and respected
test."
Suzana Lopes, Pearson VUE, VP EMEA Sales and Marketing,
added:
"We are delighted to partner with FEDE to deliver a new and
exciting test which will measure candidates' understanding of life
in continental Europe. Our unrivalled ability to provide the most
comprehensive and secure computer-based testing solutions will
ensure FEDE candidates achieve dependable results which will aid
their future education and employment."
