Computer-based assessment company Pearson VUE has announced that it is to exhibit at a key industry event in the New Year.

The company will be represented in Paris for the 9th iLearning Forum, which is to be held at Le Palais des Congrès on the 18-19 January 2010, and will demonstrate testing solutions to delegates from more than 40 countries.

Marc Carpenter, Business Development Executive at Pearson VUE, will be delivering a presentation entitled “e-Learning and High-Stakes Computer-Based Testing” at the event, and would encourage organisations that currently use assessment or are planning on implementing assessment in the future to come along and learn more about the benefits of e-Assessment.

Marc explains:
“The presentation aims to show how fascinating e-Learning is. It will demonstrate how it has worked in practice and will focus on high-stakes, or mission-critical subjects where it is imperative that candidates prove that they have acquired the necessary underpinning knowledge and can apply it. I will demonstrate, using real-life examples, how secure, invigilated, valid exams can also be an interactive experience with the use of innovative items.”

Suzana Lopes, EMEA Vice President Sales and Marketing at Pearson VUE, adds: “Events of this kind are an important part of Pearson VUE’s calendar and we’re excited about participating for the first time. Both I and my colleague Marc Carpenter look forward to highlighting the benefits of integrating e-Learning programmes with e-Assessment.”

Pearson VUE’s exhibit at the iLearning Conference 2010 will be located at Stand 28. To make an appointment with one of Pearson VUE’s executives during the conference, email [email protected] with your request.
