The sum of 15 years real world experience and based on input from wide community of learning professionals across business, education and the public sector, Optio is to launch at this year’s Learning Technologies exhibition.

Optio is a Cloud solution that represents a radical departure from formal training approaches by connecting people with learning directly. Bite-sized content is embedded into the workflow itself from virtually any source, making curated content available when it is needed most - during a task.

Speaking about the launch, Optio’s CEO Adrian Palmer Geaves said: “It's widely recognised through models such as 70:20:10, that informal learning has a major part to play in today's world, but randomly searching for the answer is time consuming, frustrating and can lead to serious problems if the wrong information is used. Optio streamlines that entire process and removes the risk.”

Optio’s strength is in allowing organisations to deliver learning content precisely at the point of need, in response to the specific actions that an individual is carrying out at the time.

The degree of context sensitivity and granularity this affords means that the learning experience becomes indivisible from the task itself; “Learning is doing, doing is learning”.

Optio will be on stand 164 at this year’s Learning Technologies Exhibition and will deliver a seminar on “Embedded learning” which will present a case study of the experience of Manpower UK of implementing this approach. The seminar will take place on Thursday 29th January at 2.00pm in Theatre 6.
