Open LMS, the largest commercial provider of open-source Moodle™ hosting and support services and a global leader in eLearning software, today announced that it now supports two new payment gateways for its ecommerce feature. In addition to Stripe, Open LMS eCommerce now also supports PayPal and Authorize.net as payment processing partners. These additions are included as part of Open LMS’s latest software update, Open LMS WORK version 4.1 and Open LMS EDU 4.4MP1.

Adding support for these new partners makes the ecommerce platform more accessible to organizations and institutions around the world, particularly for clients in North America, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries. The new options also provide greater flexibility for processing transactions, making the payment experience better for both system administrators and end-users.

With Open LMS’s ecommerce feature, administrators can create catalogs and sell a variety of products including:

  • Courses
  • Complete learning programs
  • Individual assessments
  • Certifications
  • Access to face-to-face learning opportunities
  • Learning resources
  • And more

Ecommerce clients can set prices for individual items or sell content packages that include multiple courses, learning materials, or assessments, depending on their product offerings.

Laura Martin, Senior Director of Product Management at Open LMS, had this to say:

“We’re thrilled to offer support for Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net and expand access to the Open LMS eCommerce platform. Many of our global clients are creating impressive courses and training materials, and these additional payment gateways will give our customers more opportunities to share their learning and training resources with others while generating additional revenue to support their strategic initiatives. Our goal at Open LMS is to support our clients’ success, and this ecommerce upgrade is helping us do that.”
