Open LMS launches the latest edition of E-Learn Magazine, the thought leadership initiative that offers the latest insights, research, and best practices from educators and industry experts globally.

Open LMS, the world’s largest open-source LMS provider, has launched its latest quarterly edition of E-Learn Magazine, the online magazine for the education community. The digital publication, which contains diverse insights, perspectives, expert analysis, research, and best practices from practitioners in the education and training community, is bringing together the most relevant articles and research surrounding digital learning content today.

With the swift adoption of digital learning programs in 2020 by institutions and organizations around the world, Open LMS has identified education professionals’ needs to offer immersive, engaging, and effective learning experiences for students. This year’s second quarterly edition of E-Learn Magazine aims to help educators understand the keys to effective digital content design and delivery, as well as the trends and best practices being employed by the education community.

“As we were looking at key topics that mattered to our customers, we thought about all of the courses and materials that were moved online rapidly last year due to COVID-19. Now that the digital transformation has been forced upon our customers and many more in the wider community of educators, we wanted to take a step back and make sure that we were helping them build the most effective digital content possible, and that's what this edition of E-Learn is all about,” said Open LMS Managing Director, Phill Miller.

The quality of the digital content offered in education will have a lasting impact on the overall teaching and learning experience for both students and faculty. The magazine’s newest quarterly edition includes pertinent topics on how to create engaging and interactive digital content for today’s learners, including:

  • Accessibility in digital content

  • Digital content types to include in the LMS

  • The cultural shift in education and current trends

  • Authoring tools features

  • Expert interviews and digital content initiatives around the world

As part of Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG), a global provider of learning and integrated talent management solutions, the edition also includes valuable insights from LTG sister companies Gomo (a collaborative, cloud-based, and responsive eLearning authoring tool), LEO Learning (learning content, strategy, and technology specialists working primarily with large global organizations), and PRELOADED (a BAFTA-winning applied games studio that uses the power of play to solve problems and change lives). Original content from eCreators (eLearning content development and training experts) and eThink Education (a world-class, fully-managed eLearning solution for the open-source Moodle™ and Totara Learning Management Systems), both now a part of Open LMS, are also included.

Manuel Rivera, Editor in Chief of E-Learn said, “We’re excited to launch the second edition of E-Learn Magazine, this time focusing on digital content. Offering outstanding learning experiences should be a core mission of educational institutions and their instructors. Using interactive, dynamic, and collaborative content is a way to effectively engage learners within digital learning ecosystems. We hope the ideas and insights presented in this second quarterly edition will provide the education community globally innovative ideas to help boost the quality of their online course content offering.”
