SPC Training, the provider of workplace learning and support solutions and developer of LearningGuide performance support software, is to change its name to LearningGuide.

The change of name to LearningGuide is a result of the company's focus on its LearningGuide software and services business that it has built up in recent years and increasing interest internationally for both LearningGuide and LearningGuide's development environment, LearningGuide Manager.

SPC Training was founded in 1987 and became one of Europe's leading training organizations with expertise in delivering desktop learning projects, courseware and learning support materials. The company developed LearningGuide, a workplace learning and performance support system to provide users with solutions to queries about workplace procedures and enterprise applications.

"Performance support technology is increasingly used by leading organizations to deliver the right skills to the right places in the organization," said Cees Louwers, LearningGuide CEO. "People are changing jobs frequently, taking on new skills, and organizations are implementing more change than before, so the demand for workplace learning and support solutions is growing."

"Organizations use LearningGuide to make sure their workforce has the support it needs, immediately, whenever queries about how to follow procedures, complete tasks or use applications arise."

"With this change of name, LearningGuide is emphasizing its long-term goal and commitment to provide customers with effective workplace learning and support solutions," added Louwers.

Alfred Remmits is CEO of LearningGuide's international distributor Global Learning Alliance: "LearningGuide is an important part of our portfolio, giving alliance partners in countries throughout the world a powerful performance support solution to take to market."
