OnPoint Digital Partners with Urban Planet Mobile to Provide Mobile Content Distribution
OnPoint Digital, Inc., a leading e-learning and mobile solutions provider, announced it has signed Urban Planet Mobile as a mobile learning platform customer and strategic partner. Urban Planet Mobile will use OnPoint Digital's CellCast® Solution to manage their expansive library of mobile content and easily deliver it directly to users' mobile phones. The CellCast Solution platform will allow Urban Planet Mobile to distribute audio learning programs designed to reach 90% of mobile phone users around the world initially through simple SMS text delivery.
The platform also provides a ready infrastructure for the future delivery of rich media content for users with more advanced devices like RIM BlackBerry® handhelds, Apple iPhones® and other smartphone devices running the Microsoft Windows Mobile® operating system. Once rolled out, Urban Planet Mobile will have one of the broadest and most comprehensive mobile learning initiatives deployed anywhere.
Through this licensing agreement, Urban Planet Mobile will leverage CellCast to deliver their content to their Direct-to-Customer subscribers and through other strategic partnerships. Products from Urban Planet Mobile include "Urban English - Social" audio English language learning; "Urban English - Word Builder" for specialized vocabulary learning across a variety of topics including nursing and medical terminology, engineering, tourism, construction, and general business; "The Best Job Tips on the Whole Planet" line of audio job searching tips; and standardized testing vocabulary lines for the SAT, GRE, TOEFL and more.
