Berlin. In spite of the increasing availability of innovative digital learning tools, many companies are still stuck in their ways when it comes to workplace learning. According to Martin Moehrle, learning consultant and former Chief Learning Officer at Deutsche Bank AG, 'In many of today's workplaces, the culture of learning is still a child of the 20th Century: having evolved in an industrialised context, it is not designed for the knowledge-based context into which we are transitioning.'

Moehrle is one of the keynote speakers at ONLINE EDUCA BERLIN (OEB), the world's largest e-learning conference for the corporate, education and public sectors which takes place from November 30th to December 2nd. The event attracts over 2,000 learning and training experts from 100 countries, making it the key annual networking event for corporate learning professionals.

An advocate of ongoing and personalised learning, Moehrle believes that enterprises can enhance performance by fostering a culture of learning and curiosity in which colleagues can tap into each other's knowledge. In OEB's Business EDUCA conference stream dedicated to workplace learning, leading international experts will share their experiences of and practical tools for developing a successful learning culture in the workplace.

OEB's Business EDUCA sessions will feature a wide range of experts in technology-enhanced learning, case studies from all over the world and the latest best practice guidance, enabling participants to gain an international perspective on what matters in business today. Topics to be covered include ensuring competitiveness; the role of social media in building successful learning cultures; demonstrating value and workplace assessments. Additional keynote speakers include Fabrizio Cardinali, Chair of the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG) and Monika Weber-Fahr, IFC (International Finance Corporation).
