Philips Lighting University's Stefaan van Hooydonk speaking on blended learning at Learning Technologies

Dean of Philips Lighting University, Stefaan van Hooydonk, a key customer of Tata Interactive Systems, is to speak on blended learning at Learning Technologies 2013 in London next week.

Stefaan van Hooydonk, Dean of Philips Lighting University, has worked closely with Tata interactive Systems to create 'Philips Enlightened City', a Serious Game that won a Brandon Hall Silver for 'Best Use of Games in Learning'.

Stefaan will speak at a session on Blended Learning at the Learning Technologies 2013 conference on 30th January, track 2 - session 5, 14.00 onwards.

In his session, Stefaan will reveal how he took his vision of joined-up, business-aligned learning and made it a reality at Philips Lighting, including an emphasis on informal learning and effective performance support while still focusing on a crucial need of the organisation - certification. Stefaan will deal with the business of taking organisational learning online effectively using a range of delivery devices. He will also look at: 

  • 'Speed to knowledge' as a vital driver for organisational learning today
  • The importance of the learning group to success
  • Decentralized content creation
  • Demonstrating learning value and fit-for-work competence
  • Judging your organisation's learning maturity 

Stefaan and Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) have worked closely to create Philips Enlightened City, a Serious Game that won a 2012 Brandon Hall Silver Award in the category 'Best use of games for learning'.

At stall #39, at the Learning Technologies event, TIS will be demonstrating its unique cross-platform, cross-device mobile learning solution LEARNowTM that can be employed to improve performance and productivity of a geographically dispersed workforce and shop-floor employees. Visitors to the stall will also receive information about the LEARNowTM Design Challenge and thought leadership materials on Mobile Learning, Serious Games, and Simulations as free takeaways.
