DDLS Sydney-based Microsoft technical trainer Manoj Nair has been awarded the Microsoft MVP or Most Valued Professional status for PowerShell. The award recognises Manoj’s extensive technical knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell and his wider work supporting the technical community.

MVPs represent the best and brightest in technical communities, who willingly share their deep knowledge and hands-on experience with peers around the world. Microsoft only presents MVP status to individuals identified as exceptional technical community leaders, who actively share their high quality; real world expertise with others. Manoj’s willingness to help others make the most of their technology investment is experienced both inside and outside the classroom.

“Having a DDLS PowerShell MVP is increasingly relevant as our clients move towards a more hybrid, dynamic infrastructure”, said Gary Duffield, DDLS National Microsoft Manager.  “Server Admins without PowerShell skills will become increasingly rare. Putting this in a business context, PowerShell is about doing more with less, and doing it quicker. PowerShell provides the tools to script anything you do with a Graphical User Interface; which means you can automate both routine and complex operations.”

PowerShell courses consistently rank in the top seven courses at DDLS.

Manoj is presenting a free seminar in Sydney during August for those who want to learn more about PowerShell.  Check the link here for more details.

Manoj’s nomination as an MVP is a double win for DDLS who have also been selected as a finalist in the Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year Awards for work with the Government of Western Australia.

“These prestigious award winners and finalists represent the best technology professionals our partner ecosystem has to offer,” said Phil Sorgen, Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Partner Group Microsoft. “The 2014 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists honour our top partners that solve complex business challenges by providing innovative solutions to our mutual customers. Congratulations to each winner on this incredible achievement.”

“It is a fantastic achievement for DDLS to be recognised again by Microsoft for both the work the team does and the selection of Manoj as a Microsoft MVP. There are over 100 million Microsoft social and technical community members globally, of these, approximately 3,800 are recognised and awarded MVP status each year. Congratulations to Manoj on this well-deserved award and thank you to Microsoft for recognising his hard work and  for selecting DDLS as an awards finalist.” said Mal Shaw, CEO of DDLS
