LINE Communications, one of Europe’s leading providers of learning and development solutions, has been shortlisted for three awards at the 2011 E-Learning Awards.

Two of the three shortlisted entries are in the Best use of mobile learning category, the first of which is the JLR Retail Sales Application developed for Jaguar Land Rover. The application has been well received by sales consultants in dealerships. As well as a mobile app, it is a comprehensive and ongoing development programme that provides retail sales consultants with a flexible set of tools that supports them in the sales process.

The second shortlisted entry in the Best use of mobile learning category was commissioned by the Royal School of Artillery (RSA) to help train UK troops in the use of Fire Control Orders (FCO). LINE in collaboration with the RSA created the programme for use on the Apple iPad which has improved levels of learner motivation and reduced the overall costs of training in FCO.

The third entry with which LINE found success was in the Excellence in the production of learning content - not for profit sector with a programme on Bone Fracture Classification for AO Foundation in Switzerland. LINE worked with AO and specialist surgeons to create a solution that combines the best in narrative, gaming and realistic practice to create an absorbing programme that surgeons of all backgrounds and levels of experience can identify with.

Steve Ash, Director of Sales and Marketing at LINE commented, “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for three entries in the E-Learning Awards this year. We have completed several innovative and highly creative projects in the mobile learning arena over the past 12 months and it’s very satisfying that this innovation and creativity has been recognised for a potential accolade. The programme of work that we are doing with the AO Foundation is representative of some of the high quality work that we are developing for clients across central Europe and it’s great to have this acknowledged.”

The awards ceremony is due to be held at the Marriot Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London on 10th of November. More details of the awards can be found here.
