The digital learning shift: Beyond the digital learning boom: realities & opportunities in a post-pandemic world.

At Learning Technologies 2022, 4-5 May in London, David Wilson and David Perring from market analyst Fosway, will cut through the hype with Fosway's ‘Digital Learning Realities Research’ and explore what their data and their work with learning leaders from across Europe can tell us about workplace learning in 2022.

One thing’s certain. Things are not returning to where they were before the pandemic – particularly in the world of L&D. The term ‘elearning’ was coined in 1999. It took from then to January 2020 for 50% of training to be delivered online. Within 4 months that had jumped to 100%. It wasn’t always efficient or effective, but it happened, and it stuck.

As we shift to a post-pandemic world, the argument is no longer about whether to go online, but rather how to make hybrid work. There’s plenty of opportunity here, but also plenty of others wanting to play in L&D’s space. Join David Wilson and David Perring from Fosway Group for a typically insightful and possibly challenging view of the new learning landscape.

The impact of the COVID pandemic was a game changer for Digital Learning. The only game in town during home working or furlough, Digital Learning is booming. But as digital fatigue and hybrid working replace work from home, companies need to transform learning further. Basic “keep the lights on” solutions must now enable a high performing hybrid workforce, and to reskill and upskill the organisation for future success.

David Wilson and David Perring, Fosway Group: Beyond the digital learning boom: realities & opportunities in a post-pandemic world, takes place on on day two of the conference, 5 May, covering:

  • The Digital Learning realities shaping corporate priorities and learning technology decisions
  • What companies are really focusing on in Digital Learning in 2022
  • Dealing with Digital fatigue and rethinking your digital strategy
  • Why HR is making a land grab for skills and what to do about it
