Learning Technologies revised schedule for 2021
Learning Technologies announces new date for its flagship London event; Learning Technologies moves to June 2021; Key digital initiatives announced.
The organisers of the annual Learning Technologies programme of events has set out its revised calendar for 2021. The safety of their delegates, visitors and exhibitors is central to their thinking as is their desire to deliver the best event possible for their customers.
Learning Technologies moves from February to June 9-10 2021 and will take place at London ExCeL.
Event organiser Mark Penton explains: “After the recent Government guidelines regarding the event sector, extensive consultation with the learning community, the people who attend our events, our suppliers and all those involved in organising the event, we have made the decision to move the February 2021 event out beyond what is currently expected to be another phase of the pandemic. This will ensure we can meet, engage and enjoy exhibitions and conferences safely and put on the type of event that the industry expects.”
“We will only ever run a completely safe event and this change of date for one year only will now enable us to do just that.” added Penton.
So far in 2020, Learning Technologies increased the capacity and frequency of its digital events and its digital community engagement, expanding its programme of webinars, running the Learning Technologies Summer Form (LTSF) event entirely online and moving the annual Learning Technologies Awards to a fully online programme. This will continue in 2021 and will also include an expanded digital experience in February when the event would normally have run and moving the traditional Summer Forum to an Autumn time frame”.
“Learning Technologies digital programmes continue to provide a forum for the learning community to share knowledge and experiences and support each other through the unprecedented changes taking place in workplace learning. But it's clear from discussions across learning and development that the community wants face-to-face engagement, safely, as soon as it can and we feel moving to June will enable us to do just that.”
“We will be fully transparent about our plans and expectations for 2021,” adds Penton. ”Our aim is to build a world-class, sector-leading event for June 2021 supported by online and face to face experiences at key points during the year that will continue to engage with and serve the L&D community, just as we have done for the last 20 years”.
