The 19th annual Learning Awards, showcasing the greatest achievements in learning and development has seen its highest number of entries since its inception. The number of submissions has broken all previous records, setting up the 2015 ceremony to be the biggest event in the award’s history.

Almost 300 submissions were received for the categories awarded such as Learning Provider of the Year, People Development Programme of the Year, Social & Collaborative Learning Award, CLO of the Year and 10 others.

Short-listing is currently underway and the finalists for the 14 categories will be announced shortly.

"The volume and quality of the responses we have had this year, breaking all previous records, reaffirms the outstanding impact that learning and development organisations are having around the UK and beyond", said Colin Steed, Chief Executive of the Learning and Performance Institute and Chair of the Awards.

"The Learning Awards has always been a true representation of the learning community. It’s completely inclusive, with the sole aim of championing the innovation and sheer hard work of individuals and organisations engaged in learning. The event itself has evolved a lot over the past 19 years but it has never lost sight of its purpose. I am very excited to see who is leading their field in 2014-15."

Hosted by the Learning and Performance Institute, the Learning Awards will take place on 5th February 2015. The prestigious ceremony will be held at the 5-star Dorchester Hotel on London’s Park Lane; playing host to over 400 learning professionals.
