Unicorn Training achieves Learning and Performance Institute Accreditation
Leading financial services eLearning solutions providers, Unicorn Training, has become the first organisation to achieve accreditation under the new banner of The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), formerly the Institute of IT Training (IITT).
The new LPI officially launched in Birmingham on 14 September 2011 and focuses on the representation of Learning Professionals and organisations engaged in the learning sector.
Commenting on the accreditation, Unicorn Training, Associate Director – Business Development, Mark Jones said: “Achieving this industry recognised award is part of Unicorn Training’s drive to ensure learning technologies are not just seen as part of any learning and development strategy, but recognised as being pivotal to their success.”
Unicorn Training has been creating challenging, effective and intellectually-stimulating eLearning for more than 20 years, building strong, enduring relationships with key industry partners enabling Unicorn to make a significant contribution to the growth of eLearning in its core market sectors.
Alan Bellinger, LPI Assessor, said: “Unicorn Training’s vision is both comprehensive and realistic, and the enterprise is performance ready to deliver against its challenging goals. This is a period of substantial change in the way in which learning technologies can be applied to meet the knowledge and skills needs of the Financial Services sector – and Unicorn Training is setting new standards of excellence within that domain”
Unicorn Training joins a growing number of organisations demonstrating their commitment to raising standards in learning though Institute accreditation. The LPI currently accredits over 400 organisations worldwide and plans to significantly increase this figure over the next 12 months.
Colin Steed, Chief Executive of The Learning and Performance Institute is already personally witnessing the impact of the newly branded Institute.
“The reaction from our members, accredited organisations and the L&D community as a whole has been fantastic. Membership is growing at its fastest rate since we started the Institute in 1995 and the accreditation programme is moving from strength to strength with a new focus on performance improvement through learning resonating with many organisations engaged in learning activity,” he said.
“We congratulate Unicorn Training for their efforts in achieving accreditation status, the programme is unique in its meticulous approach to examining every aspect of an organisation’s activity and the high standards needed to qualify for accreditation. Everyone at Unicorn Training can be extremely proud of their efforts.”
