Professional training institute to make CPD webinars
available to conference delegates

(30 June 2010) The Institute of IT Training (IITT) today announced a unique online professional development initiative to follow its Training 2010 conference and exhibition. The Institute will run a series of webinars following the conference, helping delegates put into action what they learned during the presentations and workshops.

The aim, explains IITT Chief Executive Colin Steed, is to make the conference part of delegates’ ongoing professional development, rather than a one-off event. “These online events will help delegates continue to learn, not only from speakers, but from each other. Our aim is to build supportive communities of practice in areas such as social learning, face-to-face delivery and the design of learning content.”

The webinar series will be in addition to the existing series of webinars currently run by the Institute and will be run by industry experts such as Nick Shackleton-Jones, Julie Wedgwood, Liz Cable, Sheena Whyatt and Clive Shepherd
.
The IITT conference and exhibition, Training 2010, takes place in London on September 7-8. For more details, see http://bit.ly/IITTConf10. The event hashtag is #IITT10.
