KnowledgePool achieves double short-listing for the World of Learning Awards 2006
Managed learning services company KnowledgePool has been short-listed as a finalist in two of the nine categories in this year's World of Learning Awards.
The first category is 'Learning Innovation of the Year', which honours innovative solutions and learning methods that have achieved tangible results. KnowledgePool has been short-listed for its revolutionary approach to providing managed learning services. This has enabled clients as diverse as British Airways, the Competition Commission, the Home Office, Lloyds TSB, Merrill Lynch and Orange to streamline their training processes, increase operational efficiencies and monitor and improve the quality of their training interventions.
The second is 'Blended Solution of the Year', which showcases programmes that have been developed to meet real business needs and which can be shown to have had a demonstrable impact. KnowledgePool has been short-listed for its 'Technology Refresh' project for the Home Office, a major blended learning programme - involving instructor-led seminars, bespoke e-learning and live coaching - which was developed to help 15,000 civil servants upgrade to Windows XP and Office XP from older versions of the software.
"The World of Learning Awards are significant and highly sought-after accolades," said Paul Jefferson, CEO of KnowledgePool. "For us to be short-listed in two categories is a real testimony to the dedication of our staff, all of whom work extremely hard so that we can provide our clients with excellent service and I am delighted that these awards have brought them such public recognition."
Now in their sixth year, the World of Learning Awards seek to recognise and reward organisations and people who have significantly advanced workplace productivity and performance within the industry.
The 2006 awards will be judged by an independent group of learning and development experts and leading practitioners. The awards will be presented at a black-tie gala dinner on 14 November 2006 at the NEC, Birmingham - the first night of the World of Learning Conference & Exhibition. KnowledgePool will also be exhibiting at WOLCE on stand E50.
