KnowledgePool, the managed learning services company, has been short-listed for the prestigious Training Company of the Year award, by the Institute of IT Training (IITT), the worldwide professional body for IT trainers.

The Training Company of the Year award is one of 13 categories in the Institute of IT Training Awards 2007. The IITT presents these awards annually to recognise outstanding examples of high standards, best practice, innovation and excellence within IT training.

The Training Company of the Year award is presented to the organisation that can demonstrate consistently high quality and innovation, in terms of content, client support and instructional techniques.

Paul Jefferson, CEO of KnowledgePool, said: "We're delighted to have been short-listed for this important award. Since 2002, we have transformed our business with our focus on managed learning services. Our nomination for this award is a confirmation of our ability to create and deliver higher quality, measurable, business-aligned learning solutions faster and more efficiently for our clients."

With over 40 years' experience in the training industry, KnowledgePool is the UK's leading provider of vendor-independent managed learning services. The company has developed the UK's largest online 'live schedule' catalogue of 10,000 training courses. It has pioneered the automation of routine and labour intensive training administration and supplier management tasks and the use of online Kirkpatrick level 1 and 3 evaluations as standard.

A growing number of major organisations - including British Airways, the Home Office, Fujitsu Services, Lloyds TSB, Merrill Lynch and Orange - have improved service levels and reduced their costs by partnering with KnowledgePool to manage learning and development activities.

Five other organisations have been short-listed for the Training Company of the Year award. The winner will be announced at a gala dinner at the Dorchester, London, on 1 February 2007.

Launched in 1995, the Institute of IT Training plays a pivotal role in establishing, managing and raising the standards in IT training.
