Kineo Showcase the latest in learning technologies at LT Summer Forum
Kineo, the global leader in learning solutions, will showcase its latest innovations at the first Learning Technologies Summer Forum in London later this month. These include the award-winning Adapt framework for multi-device learning, and a campaign-led approach to L&D inspired by marketing best practices.
The Learning Technologies Summer Forum is a free-to-attend seminar programme and exhibition: a unique follow-up event to January’s Learning Technologies 2013 Conference and Exhibition. Kineo is hosting a seminar session at the event: ’From ADDIE men to Mad Men: why learning needs to be more like marketing’.
Kineo director Stephen Walsh explains, “If you’re in the learning team, then these days you’d better also be in the persuasion business. A challenge we hear time and again from those in L&D is how to really engage learners. And with many organisations shifting to more of a ‘resources not courses’ approach, the need to attract and sustain their attention across multiple media and channels is becoming business critical.”
He continues, “Whilst we continue to push back the boundaries in elearning with some of our new technology-led solutions, we also believe in providing L&D with the knowledge required to implement more informal ways of learning. It’s all very well creating resources that are available on a smart phone, but learners first of all need to know it’s there and understand its context. Marketing has useful lessons to teach us on how to succeed with these new activities and we’re looking forward to sharing some of these at this exciting new event.”
The company has already won awards for its campaign-based approach to learning, which draws on marketing and communications practices to build awareness, generate buzz and maintain learner engagement.
Now part of the City & Guilds Group, Kineo is able to offer the complete learning solution; from custom e-learning and learning management systems (LMS), through to fully-accredited blended solutions, managed training programmes and apprenticeships.
The Kineo team will also be in attendance on Stand 29 providing demos, practical advice and access to a range of complimentary resources designed to help the elearning community. Walsh’s free seminar will be held at 10.45am in Theatre 1.
Registration for free entry to the exhbition is available via the Learning Technologies website or contact Kineo to arrange a meeting at the show.
