Kineo and Elearning Age to share Global Insights into Workplace Learning

BrightonLearning NewsKineo

Kineo, now part of the City & Guilds Group, and e.learning age magazine will continue their joint research into workplace learning: this time on a global scale. The first annual Insights Report was launched in 2012 at the E-Learning Awards and this year’s research will be made available for the 2013 E-Learning Awards gala ceremony.

Following on from the 2012 report, this year’s research will have a global focus, with leaders in HR and L&D from international organisations sharing their views. All the information will be analysed to form the top 10 trends for 2014 and beyond.

Organisations that took part in the 2012 research include Tesco, Civil Service Learning, Lloyds Banking Group, Bupa and Vodafone. The first report explored how their use of technology-enabled learning achieves results and drives business performance, and identified ten trends and best practices for high performing L&D teams.

The 2012 report can be accessed on the Kineo website: https://www.kineo.com/elearning-reports/learning-insights-report-2012.html

Based on in-depth qualitative research, the aim of the report is to uncover what helps leaders on the front line in learning and development (L&D) to deliver successful solutions. The aim is to provide practical insights so that other L&D professionals can learn from each other. This year’s research will highlight the ten best practices one year on: what’s actually working in organisations today, what isn’t, and what changes are on the horizon.

Steve Rayson, managing director of Kineo explains, “Hearing from L&D leaders who are tackling the real world challenges of working across both local and global organisations everyday is going to be invaluable. Those taking part in the research are not preaching from an ivory tower about what they think ought to be done. They are walking the walk; and what’s more, they’re implementing their learning solutions successfully. We can’t wait to discover how things have moved on in 12 months and to broaden the focus of our research to a more global view.”

Clive Snell, managing director of Bizmedia, publisher of e.learning age and organiser of the E-Learning Awards, says, “E-Learning Awards entries, downloads of e.learning age, and the Insights Report itself are all international  – covering more than 50 countries worldwide at the last count. So it’s the perfect time to research learning trends globally. The response to last year’s report was phenomenal and we’re committed to continuing to provide this in-depth research that, unlike so much other research, delivers very practical results and advice.”

The 2013 Learning Insights report will be launched at the E-Learning Awards 2013 which takes place in London on 7 November.
