Brighton, UKLearning NewsKineo

Turning managers into detectives and making systems training interesting.

Shortlisted for Excellence in the production of learning content - Private Sector in the eLearning Age Awards 2011 (winners to be announced 10th Nov), Kineo’s Financial Performance Training for Compass group has already delivered some fantastic returns in just 6 months since roll-out. Our new case study explains the approach, and how it’s different.

As with many companies in today’s market, Compass Group were looking to move away from traditional face-to-face training to a more streamlined and effective approach that would wow even the most ardent e-learning critic, making significant cost and effort savings along the way.
With a turnover of over £1.8bn and clients such as M&S, Wimbledon, Tesco and Sky to name but a few, it was crucial for Compass Group to get this right.

Compass Group partnered with leading e-learning providers Kineo to come up with a refreshingly different approach to systems training. To see how we partnered to deliver on this brief, and accomplished savings of almost £500,000 in the first 6 months, increased access to training, and gained some fantastic user feedback, you can view the full case study here.

On the relationship between the two companies, Lucy Harding, Compass Group Project Manager for Kineo said the following: “Working with Compass Group is an absolute pleasure. There’s always a genuine feeling of mutual respect, cooperation and partnership throughout all our projects. We’ve developed a very productive way of working together, resulting in efficiencies for Kineo as well as massive cost savings for Compass.

Elearning Solutions Manager at Compass Group, Caleb Foster, summarises this project’s achievement: “The Managing Financial Performance e-learning was Compass’ first initiative in partnership with Kineo... Initially there were some e-learning sceptics within the business, however the presentations, perseverance, stakeholder engagement and total commitment to making this work by the Compass and Kineo team ensured it was a success. We have saved an estimated £495k in two months by not having to pay for travel, accommodation, time out of the business, trainers, materials, etc. For any business this is a prize worth going for!
