O2 and Kineo’s e-learning partnership wins two award nominations

Brighton, UKLearning NewsKineo

O2 and Kineo’s e-learning partnership has created a rapid design and delivery model to address critical business deadlines and deliver quality at speed. It has now been recognised as award-worthy, being shortlisted in two categories for the prestigious e-learning age awards.

O2 recognised in 2008 that traditional means of delivering e-learning was simply taking too long and costing too much. O2 appointed Kineo to partner with them to change their approach. The partnership has led to a model which

• Delivers at speed to the business, often in less than 5 working days
• Breaks down traditional client/vendor barriers, with O2 and Kineo sharing tasks and working side-by-side on projects to get the best from both teams
• Used the Articulate e-learning tool to deliver high-quality results which can be easily updated by the O2 team.

The E-learning Age award panel has twice recognised the value and impact of this relationship in their nominations for 2010. The partnership is shortlisted for best rapid e-learning solution of the year, and the O2 team has been nominated for best internal e-learning development team of the year.

Kelly Lockwood of O2 said:
“This rapid approach has improved the effectiveness of our training offering to the business. Our courses are now more succinct and polished as we have been able to move the content forward using things like Flash animations. I believe this has contributed to the success of our partnership and our ability to deliver courses to a high standard to our business, often with short timescales. Without this approach and the continued flexibility of Kineo and our internal teams we wouldn’t be able to meet our business objectives.”

Stephen Walsh, Kineo Director said:
“Businesses don’t come more fast-moving than O2. Our partnership is a great example of how intelligent use of rapid e-learning tools and a flexible approach can deliver real value at speed in a fast changing organisation. We’re very proud to work with the O2 team and are delighted to be nominated for the awards.”

Kineo has published a detailed case study highlighting what’s worked in the rapid e-learning relationship, and the key steps to success in implementing rapid e-learning in a fast-moving organisation like O2. You can find it at Kineo's website.
