The Travis Perkins Group has chosen Kallidus, the leading provider of learning and talent management solutions, to deliver an integrated group-wide system for learning, performance and talent management. The group operates 16 businesses across different trades within the building and home improvement market from more than 1,800 sites nationwide.

The first phase of the project is the implementation of the Kallidus Learning Management System (LMS) which is due to go live in January 2013. Kallidus LMS will support and enhance the learning and development requirements of the Group’s 24,000 employees and whilst also enabling learning and development to be more closely aligned with business strategy across the Group.

The system’s strong reporting functionality will provide greater transparency and visibility, giving learners and managers much more control over their learning.”

The new system creates a complete learning environment with elearning, classroom learning and informal learning in a single location, delivering a better learning experience for all employees.

Key benefits of the internal site include:

  • Users will be able to see their training - from formal to informal learning, e-learning to classroom - all in one place
  • E-learning and classroom training can be selected from easy to use catalogues, relevant to the individual’s job role – training is just 3-Clicks away
  • Individuals will be able to track their progress and managers will be able to monitor the progress of their teams through easy to understand reports which can be produced at the touch of a button
  • Users will be able to provide feedback on the courses they have taken, enabling the group to monitor success
  • Employees will be able to work collaboratively with their colleagues through the use of new features such as chatrooms, virtual classrooms and discussion forums.
