Leading provider of learning and talent management solutions, e2train, and Nissan Europe, have been confirmed as finalists for their joint entry into the Learning Awards 2012.

This is the 15th year of the awards which are run by The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) and are firmly established as a benchmark for excellence throughout the learning industry.

e2train and Nissan have been chosen as finalists in the Learning Technologies Solution category. The award recognises the use of learning technologies to achieve high quality and innovation in both content and instructional techniques as well as demonstrable performance improvement for the client.

e2train worked in partnership with Nissan Europe to support the company in its successful launch of three new cars including the Nissan Leaf – the world’s first modern day practical fully electric powered saloon car. E-learning was combined with face-to-face learning to provide learners with the best technical product knowledge possible.

Key to the success of the project was the quality of the content and the clever tailoring of the Kallidus system so that it emulated the processes and operations across Nissan’s operations. As a result, Nissan was able to train 12,000 learners across 23 countries quickly and effectively by integrating best practice learning programmes into their working lives and methodologies. The project resulted in training costs being reduced by 40% and showroom sales greatly exceeding expectations.

Said Rob Caul, CEO of e2train:

“We are delighted to be a finalist for such a prestigious award and see this as a real endorsement of the quality, innovation and business success our solutions deliver. This was a very exciting high profile project and working in partnership with Nissan Europe has been incredibly rewarding.”

The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) hosts the annual Learning Awards to recognise outstanding examples of high standards, best practice, innovation and excellence in Learning and Development. This year the LPI received a record number of entries for the awards, with entries up 30% on last year. The winners will be announced at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London on 2 February 2012.
