For the first time in Israel: John Bryce Training offers an iPhone development course as part of its cooperative enterprise with iDigital, Apple’s representative in Israel
As part of the cooperative efforts between John Bryce Training, the Training Division of Matrix, and iDigital, who represents Apple Computers in Israel, John Bryce Training opened last month an iPhone development course, the first of its kind in Israel. The 48-hour course enrolled 15 students from prominent companies in Israel, including SAP, Rad, Ness Technologies, and others.
This is the first offering in a program of Apple courses launched by John Bryce Training. Courses in the program are aimed at developers, infrastructure professionals working on Macs, and specialists in the areas of photography, graphics, and video. The developers' course in the iPhone environment is taught by Gur Zeevi, founder and CTO of Kimambili, one of the leading developers of applications and solutions for the Mac OS X platform and for the iPhone. The objective of the course is to train participants in the development of professional and content-rich applications for the iPhone. The course teaches such topics as the Xcode development environment, the Objective C development language, searching the various iPhone development libraries, and using the input capabilities of the device, such as the touch screen and the virtual keyboard, and more. Additional courses of this type are expected to open soon.
According to Gur Zeevi, CEO of Kimambili and the instructor of the course, “the announcement of various cellular carriers about the sale of iPhones created an increased demand among developers to join this growing market. As a result, the courses generated immediate interest in the community of Apple users in Israel.”
