Learning impact experts, Growth Engineering, have won five awards at the 2021 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards. These awards were won in partnership with L’Oréal Travel Retail.

L’Oréal Travel Retail utilises the Growth Engineering Learning App to support and train their Beauty Advisors. This app uses microlearning interventions and social learning experiences to create a high-performance learning culture. The environment itself is incentivised through gamification to help deliver better learning outcomes.

Growth Engineering Learning App has been instrumental in helping L’Oréal Travel Retail to achieve individual and organisational goals. It has also been key for uniting learners with a shared passion for beauty. As a result, Brandon Hall’s expert judges and analysts deemed it worthy of five awards:

  • Gold Award for ‘Best Advance in Customer Content’ for L’Oréal Americas.
  • Gold Award for ‘Best Advance in Performance Support’ for L’Oréal Australia.
  • Silver Award for ‘Best Advance in Customer Content’ for L’Oréal Australia.
  • Bronze Award for ‘Best Advance in Mobile Learning’ for L’Oréal Americas.
  • Bronze Award for ‘Best Learning Team’ for L’Oréal Asia.

Michelle Zablah, the eLearning Manager for L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas, was delighted with this news:

“I am extremely proud to have our mobile learning app, My Beauty Club Americas win two Brandon Hall Awards this year. Growth Engineering has been an excellent partner to help us create a best-in-class mobile learning app for all our Beauty Advisors throughout the Americas. Growth Engineering is also a great resource to keep us up to date on the latest mobile learning trends and to support us in upskilling our teams and engaging our learners”.

Juliette Denny, Managing Director at Growth Engineering, echoed these sentiments:

“This has been a difficult year for many of us. The pandemic has accelerated digital transformation and created a new set of training requirements and challenges. Learners have never needed more support than they do now. We’re proud that our technology is being leveraged to provide this support. And we’re blown away by what L’Oréal Travel Retail has been able to achieve. They epitomise excellence in learning and their team deserve all the credit that can be mustered”.

Entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon these criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation and overall measurable benefits. Rachel Cooke, the leader of the HCM Excellence Awards program, had the following to say about this year’s award selection process:

“Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards in 2021 provide much-needed and well deserved recognition to organizations that went above and beyond to support their stakeholders during the unprecedented disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards provide validation of best practices in all areas of HCM at a time when they have never been more important to employers, employees and customers.”
