The LDC Top 50 is an annual listing recognising the champions of ambition within the UK business world. This is the third year in which the list has been curated and they received over 350 nominations. Collectively, those listed contribute over £1bn to the UK economy and hire over 5,250 staff between them.

LDC had this to say of 2020’s nominees: ‘These Ambitious Leaders in-the-making will be the nation’s principal job creators in years to come, generating growth and prosperity for the British economy. Each of them proves that the pandemic hasn’t curbed the ambition of the UK mid-market.’

Juliette Denny, founder and CEO of Growth Engineering, was named as ‘one to watch’ on the LDC Top 50 list.

Juliette’s company, Growth Engineering, is a learning technologies company which helps global organisations deliver training that meaningfully impacts key business goals. At a time when the learning technologies industry is undergoing a contraction in growth, Juliette has managed to steer Growth Engineering towards continued double-digit growth rates.

Juliette had this to say of being recognised among the most ambitious business leaders in the country: ‘To me, ambition is what happens when you see something in the world that needs to change and realise that you have the capability to change it. It’s incredible to be listed amongst the other Champions of Ambition. They all have incredible stories about how they’re bettering the world and overcoming adversity.

My own story is a simple one. I believe that learning is the route to a better world and that technology should make it easy for people to learn whatever their circumstances. But, most learning technology robs learning of all it’s fun, leaving it a joyless husk of what it could be.

Alongside my incredible team at Growth Engineering, we have worked tirelessly to reinject fun and enjoyment into online learning. So this award is for all of us at Growth Engineering, not just for me. After all, the ambition to change the way people learn online is one we all share.’
